After a year of discipleship and training, the question remained: would the men of Tela continue their walk with Jesus on their own? The answer was a resounding yes. What began as a small group has become a movement of men living out their faith and helping others do the same.

✍️ The Story

After one year of working with men in the communities, there were many questions. Would they continue to apply what they had learned in their personal walk with Jesus? Would they keep meeting weekly? Would they help others begin their own journey of faith? Would they stay committed to memorizing Scripture and maintaining unity?

The answer to every one of those questions is yes.

God has taken control of what began in the churches of Tela and has raised up leaders to continue the work of discipleship. What started as teaching has now become transformation. Men are leading, serving, and standing firm in their faith.

“All my doubts and concerns are covered by His hands. Men are doing what they are supposed to do.”

This is truly a God moment. These men are not only continuing to meet in their own communities—they are reaching beyond them. They are encouraging other churches, helping new believers grow, and setting an example of what it looks like to live a Christ-centered life.

They call their group The Forge—a place where hearts are strengthened, character is refined, and men are shaped by the fire of God’s Word.

What began as a few faithful men has become a movement of spiritual growth and leadership, touching the lives of families, churches, and communities across Tela.
