God allowed the Baldus family to purchase a property on the coast of Honduras, that houses Hope for Tela. We have 8 condominiums for couples and families and a penthouse that can host teams of individuals wishing to serve with us in Tela.
2023 has been a busy year for Hope for Tela. We hosted 3 teams and have one yet to arrive in the month of October, God willing.
WINTER: Hope for Tela hosted Scott and Joyce Davidson in January and they accomplished many projects, including working on the little house. We hosted a Couple’s Retreats and Pastor’s seminar in February-March with members from our board and Bailey Christian Church. Mike and Katrina Forbes joined us in March, speaking and doing music for area churches.
SPRING: Stephan traveled to Michigan to meet with various congregations and to present the work of Hope for Tela.
SUMMER: Our Family Team arrived the first part of July and we assisted churches with food packs, VBS, Sunday Schools and worked alongside the mountain church, painting the exterior and interior. This team hosted two medical clinics. The teacher team arrived as the family team departed. They hosted two Teacher Training days and then did two days of STEM Science Camp. Also during that week a playground was constructed for the Nueva Amanacer public school.
